History

Baton Vapor was founded in 2014 by Thomas Vo and Gabriel Laurant, initially starting out as Vertigo Vapor, Inc in Bellevue, Washington. As Vertigo Vapor, Inc., they were an e-liquid manufacturer and distributor focused on the greater Seattle area.

In 2016, Vo and Laurant established the Baton brand, while keeping Vertigo Vapor. Under the Baton brand, there were two branches: Baton Vapor, which focused on making vape products as tobacco product alternatives, and Baton CBD, which focused on cannabis products. Baton CBD was notable for its CBD chewables which came in three different flavors.

In 2019, a respiratory illness then-called Vaping Associated Lung Injury induced mass hysteria, to the point that multiple states in the US would impose regulations, bans, and taxes on vape products. Although it was later proved that this illness was caused by vitamin E acetate, an ingredient found in illegal THC concentrates, not from vaping products, the state of Washington imposed a floor tax, so Baton Headquarters moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where it is currently operating.

In 2021, Baton CBD’s website quietly went down, presumably after Baton Vapor announced the release of non-tobacco nicotine (NTN) and the planned phasing out of all traditional tobacco salt products on November 2021.

Ethical Marketing

Vo has personally seen the struggles of a smoking addict: he saw his father try to overcome his addiction to tobacco when he was still a child. After understanding the difficulty of stopping smoking, he vowed to help many other adults trying to halt their unhealthy obsession.

As part of this promise, Baton Vapor maintains no social media presence. They try to avoid marketing channels that are not strictly age-regulated, and commit to only marketing and selling their products to adults.

Non-Tobacco Nicotine

In 2021, Baton Vapor announced that through modern technology, they are now capable of extracting nicotine from non-tobacco organic products, such as green peppers, tomatoes, and eggplants. Called Non-Tobacco Nicotine or NTN, Baton Vapor announced that they are phasing out all their traditional nicotine salts on November 2021 in favor of replacing their entire lineup with NTN products. Baton Vape Price and Series

Baton Vapor currently has three categories of products: refillables, disposables, and nicotine-free salts. The refillables are under the name Baton, while disposables are called BatonGO, and their nicotine-free products are simply referred to as Nicotine Free. The Baton V2 refillable pod system succeeds their Baton Classic Device, released way back in 2017. Sleek and slim, the Baton V2 has a rubberized, matte finish that makes the device easy to grip and hold. The Baton V2 also uses an automatic draw system, compared to the fire button system on the Classic Device.
